MyVR is a social VR platform created by MyWebRoom. Launching in October, MyVR will bring together content from all corners of the world, videos, social interactions, chat, music, and more in one cozy “room”.

According to tech advisor Digi-Capital, the platform could be worth $30 billion by 2020 if it lives up to expectations.
The company, MyWebRoom, which is located in San Francisco, let’s people create interactive, customizable rooms that turns into your own personal hub.

Everything that you do online can be done in this “room”. Whether it’s watching Netflix, listening to Spotify, reading the digital newspaper, or shopping online, all can be done easily. The content is organized throughout 21 targeted interest feeds, such as food, diy, travel and sports, which are all fully customisable.

MyVR is free for Google Cardboard and Samsung GearVR. MyVR allows users to follow anyone else, view each other’s rooms, hold group chats – all which can be done while browsing the Internet, watching videos, reading articles and even listening to music together.

“The goal of MyVR is to bring Virtual Reality to a wider, more mainstream audience that wants a broader range of virtual experience”, says CEO of MyWebRoom and creator of MyVR, Artem Fedyaev.

When a new user starts, they can design an interactive virtual room to use as their profile and select different items in the room to access different feeds of content – such as selecting a TV to view videos or watch Netflix, and select a music player to listen to your favorite tracks on Spotify.
